Please read these Terms & Conditions carefully before you start to use our website.  We recommend that you print a copy of these for future reference.

Please also familiarise yourself with our Privacy and Cookies Policies before using the Qonectu website.  (These can be found at the bottom of the Qonectu website Home Page).

By using our website, you confirm that you accept these Terms & Conditions, Privacy and Cookie Policies, and that you agree to comply with them.  We reserve the right to update, change or replace any part of these Terms & Conditions by posting updates/changes on the Qonectu website.  It is your responsibility to check this page periodically for changes.  Your continued use of, or access to the website following the posting of any changes constitutes acceptance of those changes.   If you do not agree to these Terms & Conditions, you must not use our website in any way.

The Qonectu website has two main functions:

1. For customers, it is an online Directory providing information about Hair, Barbering, Beauty and Aesthetics services and also Training Courses in the UK.
2. For UK Businesses, it is a platform to promote your Hair, Barbering, Beauty, Aesthetics and Training* services to potential customers.

FOR CUSTOMERS

1. Whilst all Businesses (Listings) must provide proof of qualification, insurance and licences (where applicable) for all the treatments or training courses that they offer before advertising their business on our website, we cannot be held responsible for their accuracy and it should not be relied upon or used as the sole basis for making decisions. Any reliance on the information on this website is at your own risk. We disclaim all liability and responsibility arising from any reliance placed on such information to the fullest extent permissible by all applicable laws.
2. You are responsible for making all arrangements necessary to access and view this website and you should ensure you have up to date anti-virus software on any device from which you access our website.
3. The Qonectu website contains links to third party websites and social media platforms. If you decide to visit these sites, you do so at your won risk.  We are not responsible or liable directly or indirectly  for the content, accuracy or opinions expressed in these websites or platforms.
4. If you use a link from the Qonectu website to another website or platform, our Terms & Conditions, Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy will no longer be applicable. Your browsing and interaction on any other website or platform will be subject to that website or platform’s own Terms & Conditions and Policies.  Please read their Terms and Policies carefully before proceeding.

FOR BUSINESSES

1. No variations to these Terms & Conditions shall be binding unless agreed in writing between the authorised representatives of Qonectu Ltd and the Applicant.

2. No Application shall be deemed to be accepted by Qonectu Ltd until confirmed in writing.

3. Only professional, qualified, insured and licensed (where applicable) Service Providers may promote their businesses on this website. The Applicant agrees to provide proof via valid certificates and Qonectu Ltd reserves the right to decline Applications that do not meet these requirements.  Your Listing will not go live until we have verified this.

4. Only treatments that you (and/or your staff) are qualified, insured and licensed (where applicable) to perform are to be advertised on your Listing on the Qonectu website.

5. The Applicant shall be responsible to Qonectu Ltd for ensuring the accuracy of the application form and information provided.

6. You may link your existing websites and social media platforms to your Listing on the Qonectu website, provided that the linking site does not contain any adult or illegal material or any material that is inaccurate, offensive, harassing or otherwise objectionable.

7. We reserve the right to remove any linking permission at any time and without notice.

8. a) Qonectu Ltd will use all reasonable endeavours to ensure the accuracy of any information provided by the applicant before publishing on our website. The Applicant agrees that Qonectu Ltd will not be responsible for any errors or emissions and that Qonectu Ltd will not be liable for any loss, damage, cost, or expense incurred by the Applicant as a result of any such error or non-publication.  Qonectu Ltd will however take steps to rectify any errors made.

1. b) Qonectu Ltd reserves the right to withdraw Membership at it’s discretion and terminate this Agreement.

9. The Applicant will advise Qonectu Ltd immediately of any alteration of the details of the Applicant’s business and hereby confirms that such details are currently correct.

10. All decisions with regard to acceptance of an Application are entirely at the discretion of Qonectu Ltd.

11. A one-off Joining Fee is payable when you submit your Registration Form. This is non-refundable from the time that you publish your Business Profile on the Qonectu website.

12. A Membership Fee is payable monthly or annually. 30 days notice is required if you wish to cancel your Membership.

13. Non or late payments of your Membership fee will result in your Profile no longer being visible on the Qonectu website. Upon receipt of payment, your Profile will become visible again*.

14. All Fees are exclusive of VAT which the Applicant shall be additionally liable to pay Qonectu Ltd.

15. In the event that Qonectu Ltd accepts the Application and the appropriate Joining and Membership Fees have been paid to Qonectu Ltd, The Business Profile will be added as a Listing on the Qonectu website.

16. From time-to-time Qonectu Ltd may also promote your Business on our other Social Media Platforms, or make special awards to recognise certain achievements or standards. These are entirely at the discretion of Qonectu Ltd and may be withdrawn at any time.

17. The Applicant hereby gives permission to Qonectu Ltd to store, use, merge, modify, publish, or reproduce any details, information, and photographs provided on behalf of the Applicant in relation to the Listing for purposes on any of our Social Media or other advertising platforms.

18. You are responsible for the safety and security of your login and password details. To help protect against unauthorised access to your account you are advised to store your username and password safely and securely.  If you suspect that unauthorised access has been made to your account you must notify us immediately (by using the Contact Us form at the bottom of the Home Page).  We reserve the right to disable or block your account at any time if it is suspected that unauthorised access has been made to your account.

19. You must not misuse the Qonectu website by:
20. Knowingly introducing viruses, worms, trojans, time bombs, logic bombs, loggers, adware, spyware or any other material, programme or code which adversely affects the operation of any computer software or hardware;
21. Gaining or attempting to gain unauthorised access to the server where the Qonectu website is stored, or any server, computer or database connected to the Qonectu website.

20. Breach of this clause could constitute a criminal offence under the Computer Misuse Act 1990. Any such breach will be reported to the relevant law enforcement authorities, with whom we would co-operate with by disclosing your identity to them.  In the event of such a breach, your right to use the Qonectu website will cease immediately.

21. Qonectu Ltd reserves the right to *remove a Listing if the applicant fails to pay when due any sum payable under this contract, or fails to observe or perform any of the Terms & Conditions. Qonectu Ltd may give written notice declaring this agreement is terminated at such future dates as it may designate, provided always that termination under this paragraph shall not entitle the Applicant to a refund of any sums paid or part, or prevent Qonectu Ltd from recovering any outstanding balance.

22. The Applicant agrees to always cooperate with Qonectu Ltd and its staff for all purposes.

23. This Contract shall be governed by the laws of England.

24. Notice for Cancellation of the Agreement by the Applicant is subject to 30 days notice.

TRAINING PROVIDERS

In addition to all the above Terms & Conditions, all Training Providers must comply with the following:

1. All Training Providers/Educators must possess a minimum of Level 3 Award in Education & Training (AET, previously known as PTLLS). Qualifications must be verified before your Profile is published.

2. All Educators must be fully qualified and insured to perform all the treatments that they teach.

3. All Training Courses must clearly state what qualification (if any) will be attained upon successful completion of the course.

4. Online Courses – Online Theory based courses, or skills building courses for treatments that your students already hold a qualification in are accepted.   Advertising other Online Courses is at the discretion of Qonectu and is decided on a one-to-one basis.  Please contact us at [email protected] for further information.
5. Qonectu reserves the right to decline Training Courses if we don’t  feel they meet Industry Standards.
6. Qonectu reserves the right to decline or remove Listings at any time.
